The DEXTER CHESTON GALLERY is pleased to mount the first major exhibition of American Visual Artist and Creative Director, Dexter Cheston’s Fashion-Art. The Nail Color Collection, is the solo online exhibition, curated as well as created by Dexter Cheston, the show featuring contemporary works on canvas and paper, is on view from March 31 through August 31, 2024, at dexterchestongallery.com.

Inspired by Cheston’s journey in developing nail polish products for his eponymous fashion label, each 36×48 inch acrylic painting portrays a single nail color bottle, adorned with radiant dyes and bold applications. The exhibition also offers custom works on paper, featuring distinctive prints of the nail polish bottles, elegantly rendered on canvas and coated with transparent high gloss.

With over 50 minimalist paintings scheduled to be displayed, viewers will be treated to a kaleidoscope of color stories, showcasing high fashion color palettes and long-lasting effects. From interior pop art wall posters to large-scale illustrations, Cheston’s works embrace a new generation of art enthusiasts, offering a diverse range of compositions and reproductions.

Provoking introspection and dialogue, this colorful yet well manicured exhibition experience, also introduces “THE NAIL COLORS,” a luxurious coffee table book created by Cheston for this occasion. Filled with vibrant illustrations of the acrylic paintings and their haute couture fashion colors such as blues, pinks, nudes, to reds, “THE NAIL COLORS” book encapsulates the essence of luxury and rejuvenation.
