Meet Dexter Cheston
A native of Trenton, New Jersey, Dexter Cheston is a multifaceted artist and entrepreneur with a passion for pushing the boundaries of creativity. Cheston studied Business and Marketing plus Art History at Clark Atlanta University, in Atlanta, Georgia as well as Organization and Technical Design at New York Institute of Technology in Manhattan, New York.
In 2015, Cheston launched the fashion house DEXTERDEXTERDEXTER in New York City, where he debuted multiple runway collections during NYFW and served as creative director for nine years. From conceptualizing the aesthetic, sampling development, to automating business systems – Dexter directed the brand’s digital solutions and platforms plus designed across the label’s various product segments including ready-to-wear clothing, handbags, eyewear, beauty essentials to travel goods, fragrances and home furnishings.
In 2023, Cheston founded the Dexter Cheston Gallery, an artist-run institution dedicated to shaping the conversation around contemporary fashion-art on a national and international level.
